Set the character speed, effective speed, and playback volume for practice.

 

Choose a course, class, content set, lesson, and settings preset. Save and Load work with your settings preset file.

Lesson Options control what text is used, how it is prepared, timing choices, Speed Racer, and Trail.

Overrides

Custom Group, Override Time, and Override Size take effect after you press Apply. Custom Group uses your typed characters instead of the selected lesson.

 
Playback
Timing

Speed Racer plays each card more than once at different speeds. It cannot be used with Speed Intervals.

Sequence: 

Shows extra Speed Racer choices for speed steps, replay, spoken recap timing, and preset shortcuts.

 Set at least one non-zero multiplier

Enter the speed steps separated by commas. For example, 1.5 is faster than your character speed, and 1.0 is your character speed. Zero skips a step.

Default: 1.5, 1.35, 1.175, 1.0

When on, Speed Racer plays the card one more time at the first multiplier speed (not the last step, and not necessarily your main character speed).

Uses Voice Options to speak the card when Voice is on. With Replay at First Multiplier on, speech comes before the replay. With replay off, speech comes after the last speed step.

Trail

Trail reveals hidden card text after each card plays. It has no effect when cards are already revealed. During Speed Racer, Pre and Post apply after all speed variations on a card finish.

Voice Options control spoken recaps, spelling, timing, speaker, volume, pitch, and rate.

Tone Options set the dit and dah pitch. Zero Beat plays a steady tone for matching pitch by ear.
